My beautiful boy!

John Woodson is an amazing person. He has survived almost 4 months with me, which already says a lot. He is a very thoughtful child. There is so much that goes on in his sweet little head already. He has the eyes of an "old soul" as Elizabeth says. He is a very laid back, easy-going kind of person. (A wonderful personality for a first child. He's breaking me in easy.) To know John is to love him and I am head over heels.
I love that I get to spend every day with him (and sometimes every night). I enjoy learning more about him as he grows and changes into the person he is becoming. He is so fascinating.
I think he looks like his grandpa Jim in this picture. This was taken at bath time which is one of my favorite times of the day. He swims like a little fish and is just now realizing that he is the one doing all of the splashing. Things are getting messy!

Blog?

Blog.
What a strange word.
So here I am blogging. (sounds scandalous doesn't it?)It's a funny thing since I'm not the most technologically savvy person. In fact I'm still amused that I have a cell phone. I prefer pen and paper to emails and I still would rather talk on a land line than enjoy the portability of going cellular. Perhaps I'm in the wrong century?
The entire concept of blogging is fascinating to me. Here I am blabbing on with my thoughts and posting them on the world wide web for mass availability. By posting this I am assuming, even hoping that someone will actually take the time to read this. Are my thoughts really profound enough to merit someone visiting my site. Or is this more of a high-tec therapy for those of us who need to get our thoughts out? I feel as if I'm being unfaithful to my old fashioned journals.
So here is my blog, the beginning of my broadcasted thoughts for all the masses who will read them. Bear with me as I get used to writing to an imagined but plausible audience.
More brilliant and witty entries are coming soon.
